Old Grenache vines on sandy soils, minuscule yields, unadulterated winemaking: Rayas is often compared to the greatest wines of Burgundy for its finesse. 100% Grenache. Confidential production and among the most sought-after in France. The 2012 vintage, fresh and balanced, produced an elegant wine of great depth. Nose of wild strawberry, cherry, raspberry, faded rose, garrigue, soft spices, and forest floor notes. Silky and airy mouthfeel, very fine tannins, great freshness, long and floral finish. Provenance: acquired from a cellar purchase in 2020, kept since in an underground cellar at 15°C.
