Joseph Drouhin – Beaune 1er Cru « Clos des Mouches » Red – 2022 Iconic cuvée from the house of Joseph Drouhin, a major reference of Beaune. The Clos des Mouches is one of the most renowned Premiers Crus of the appellation, located on a calcareous slope at the edge of Pommard, of which Drouhin is the main owner. Biodynamic vines. 100 % Pinot Noir. The 2022 vintage, solar and generous, produced ripe and indulgent wines, carried by a fine freshness. Aromas of cherry, raspberry, blackberry, violet, soft spices, and hints of undergrowth. Round and silky mouthfeel, fine tannins, fresh and fruity finish. Provenance: acquired from a cellar purchase in 2024, kept since then in an underground cellar at a constant 15 °C.
