Domaine Ganevat – Les Grands Teppes Vieilles Vignes – Côtes du Jura – 2018 Cult domain of the Jura, in Rotalier, run by Jean-François Ganevat, a world reference for high-precision natural wines. 100 % Chardonnay from old vines, biodynamics, raised under oak (non-oxidative), with very little sulfur. Confidential production and highly sought-after. The 2018 vintage, a sunny year, produced a generous and ample wine while retaining the tension of the Jura. Nose of ripe citrus, pear, white flowers, hazelnut, and gunflint mineral notes. Rich and precise mouthfeel, beautiful salinity, long and vibrant finish. Provenance: acquired from a cellar purchase in 2022, kept since in an underground cellar at 15 °C.
