Clos Rougeard – Brézé – Saumur Blanc – 2015 The mythical white wine from Clos Rougeard, a legendary estate long held by the Foucault brothers in Chacé. 100% Chenin Blanc from the Brézé slope, on calcareous tuffeau, organic vines, aged in barrels. Very limited production. The 2015 vintage, a sunny and balanced year, produced an ample, ripe, and deeply profound Brézé. Quince, pear, acacia honey, white flowers, toasted notes and chalk. Rich and tense mouthfeel, vibrant acidity, long, salty and mineral finish. Provenance: acquired from a cellar purchase in 2022, kept since in an underground cellar at 15°C.
