Vega Sicilia – Único – Ribera del Duero – 2007 – Magnum (1.5L) The most mythical wine of Spain. Blend dominated by Tempranillo (Tinto Fino), complemented with Cabernet Sauvignon, aged for a decade between barrels and bottle before leaving the estate. The 2007 vintage, a cool and low-yield year in Ribera del Duero, produced a classic Único, of great finesse and beautiful tension. Nose of red and black fruits, cherry, cedar, blond tobacco, spices, and balsamic notes. Refined palate, silky tannins, lively acidity, long and saline finish. The magnum format ensures a slower and more harmonious evolution. Provenance: from a closing restaurant, for 8 years I’ve kept it in my cellar at 15°C and it hasn’t moved.
