Domaine Dugat-Py – Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru – 2006 Cult domain from Gevrey-Chambertin, run by the Dugat family. Very old vines, minuscule yields, biodynamic farming: rare wines and among the most sought-after in Burgundy. 100 % Pinot Noir. 2006, a generous and full-bodied vintage, now at peak maturity. Nose of black fruits, kirsch cherry, spices, leather, truffle, and undergrowth. Dense and velvety mouthfeel, supple tannins, great depth, long and elegant finish. Provenance: acquired from a cellar purchase in 2020, kept since in an underground cellar at a constant 15 °C.
