Domaine Georges Noëllat has gained remarkable attention in recent years, driven largely by the talent of its young winemaker, Maxime Cheurlin, who is a direct relative of the legendary Henri Jayer. Maxime—who inherited part of the Jayer family lineage—brings a style strongly reminiscent of his great-uncle’s philosophy: ultra-gentle extractions, purity of fruit, and exceptional finesse. The 2013 Les Boudots comes from one of the most prestigious parcels on the border with Vosne-Romanée, often showing the silkiness and spice typical of Vosne while retaining the structure of Nuits-Saint-Georges. The wine displays lifted red fruit, refined tannins, and elegant depth—hallmarks of Maxime Cheurlin’s Jayer-influenced approach. It is considered one of the standout cuvées of the domaine.
