Supple, rich, mineral-driven and polished black cherry and raspberries end with the one of the richest, most opulent finishes of the vintage. Ausone 2012 combines the best characteristics of the vintage and the vintage: tense development, tannic framework as fine as removed, sapide and crunchy grain. He can drink now or in 20 years. I personally shared a bottle with friends this summer over grilled red meat and al dente vegetables in olive oil.
