Compared to other Pomerols, Vieux Château Certan has more cabernet France and cabernet Sauvignon in proportion (30% vs 15-20) and this gives it more strength for long guard. Although 1973 is not recognized for a great vintage, the wine is nonetheless delicious to drink with present aromas and silky tannins.
