Seller description
I’m offering for sale an old bottle of Green Chartreuse, bottled by L. Garnier in Voiron around 1946 (label marked "6-46"). It has been stored for nearly 80 years in the family cellar of Château des Quat Sos, in La Réole (Gironde, France), in darkness and at a constant temperature. The bottle belonged to my great-grandfather, Georges Viort, and was most likely received as a gift in the year following the Liberation. The label is well preserved for its age, the original capsule is intact, and the fill level is high in the neck, which is exceptional for a Chartreuse of this vintage.
