Château La Conseillante produces velvety, silky wines. Less powerful than Petrus, Trotanoy or Certan de May. this cuvée offers surprising aromas of candied plums and black raspberries mixed with hints of truffle, mocha and spices. Introduced in this way, it unfolds a silky, velvety texture on the palate. Over time, La Conseillante develops aromas of violet, licorice and jammy red fruit. It is this violet fragrance, so characteristic of the cru, that has given its color to the cap of Conseillante bottles since 1871.
