Mathilde, daughter of Michel Chapoutier, has taken over the torch of this iconic house watching over a vineyard of more than 350 hectares through the most prestigious appellations of the northern and southern Rhône Valley. The vineyard Mr. Chapoutier's Ermite 2014 is an Hermitage wine from a parcel vintage made from a selection of old syrah vines. Located at the top of the hill of the Hermitage, in the place called l'Ermite, these vineyards over 80 years old are located on very poor granite terroirs.
