Seller description

This is the only appellation on the estate that is not located in the Gevrey-Chambertin commune, as it is part of the Morey-Saint-Denis appellations. The vines grow on limestone and clay-limestone soils dating from the Middle Jurassic period. There is barely 30 cm of soil and large boulders, which give the vineyard its name. The domaine acquired 2 parcels of this climate, one in 1920-1921 and the other in 1975. It was awarded the appellation d'origine contrôlée Grand Cru in 1936. This is a powerful, mineral wine, long on the palate, with great consistency and a certain firmness. Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
