Seller description

This wine, a red Hermitage from 1992 produced by Paul Jaboulet Aîné, perfectly illustrates the excellence of the Northern Rhone Valley. Made mainly from Syrah grape variety, it reflects the unique terroir of the appellation, characterized by its pebble and clay soils. Traditional winemaking techniques, such as fermentation in wooden vats and barrel ageing, contribute to its aromatic complexity, offering aromas of black fruit, spices and earthy notes. The Rhône Valley, with its continental climate, enjoys ideal exhibitions and a rich wine history, consolidating the reputation of its great wines. To accompany this exceptional wine, I suggest you marry it with a fillet of beef with red wine sauce or a game dish such as a roasted pheasant. The intense flavours of these dishes will magnify the fruity and spicy notes of the Hermitage. You could also opt for ripened cheeses, like a Saint-Nectaire, that will highlight its tannic structure and power in the mouth. For optimal tasting, serve this wine at a temperature between 16 and 18°C. Start by observing the deep and shiny dress, then smell the aromas to appreciate its complexity. Then take the time to enjoy a sip, letting the wine express itself on your palate, to detect all the subtleties and harmony of flavors.
