The Comtes de Champagne 2006 from Taittinger is an exceptional champagne for its finesse and aromatic complexity. The year 2006 was marked by a warm climate which allowed us to obtain beautifully ripe grapes. The Chardonnays in particular develop notes very focused on white fruits and citrus fruits. Comtes de Champagne is a Blanc de Blancs cuvée, made from Chardonnays from the great terroirs of the Côte des Blancs. A very small part of the wines (5%) are aged in oak barrels for 4 months to add a touch of complexity. The Comtes de Champagne 2006 by Taittinger has a pale gold color, covered with fine and light bubbles. On the nose, it is a champagne which offers fruity citrus notes. On the second nose, aromas of candied fruit and pastries appear. On the palate, the attack is lively and creamy at the same time. It is a rich, gourmet, expressive champagne, with a finish vibrating for long seconds with a spicy touch.
