Old Douro Wine Harvest of 1871, Quinta do Loureiro Private Collection Until around 1756, the production of "boarding wines", as Port Wines were called at the time, followed the so-called "old process" of winemaking. The brandy, always in a small volume, was only available after fermentation, thus making dry wines. Magnificent wine, dry, persistent and with few tannins with notes of black fruits and oak.
