Seller description

The Grand Vintage 2012 from Moët et Chandon is a remarkable aperitif cuvée, both fresh and fruity. This vintage is the 74th signed by the house of Epernay. The year 2012 is an unprecedented wine year combining difficult climatic conditions and a superb end of summer, finally giving grapes of superb maturity accentuated by a moderate yield. A balance reminiscent of the great 2002, 1989 or 1966 vintages. The Grand Vintage 2012 Moët et Chandon combines 41% Chardonnay 41%, 33% Pinot Noir and 26% Pinot Meunier 26%. Its dosage is Extra Brut (5g / l). The Grand Vintage 2012 Moët et Chandon has a pale, shiny yellow color with green reflections. Its bubble is fine and persistent. On the nose, we discover a cuvée that evokes white flowers, then evolves on the second nose towards pastry, sweet and blond notes, punctuated by nuances of fresh walnut, hazelnut or rusk. At the same time, we always have this notion of crunchy, ripe fruit (pear, white peach, nectarine). On the palate, the wine is supple and fluid, then we perceive a silky texture. This initial sweetness gradually purifies, the acid frame stretches and persists to offer a final iodized and tangy note, underlined by a hint of pink grapefruit, salivating.
