Seller description
This "Madeira" bottle is a old Malvasia Reserva and is part of the so called "Heavenly Quartet". The "Heavenly Quartet" is composed by ( Sercial Reserva first bottled in 1927, Grand Old Boal, WS Boal, and Malvasia Reserva). Although these wines are sold without a vintage year, at the time of its first bottling, they were considered to be old when H&H was founded in 1850 belonging to the private collection of belated João Joaquim Gonçalves Henriques. This wines can be dating back to the Nineteenth Century.(1801 - 1900). Some of these wines were re-bottled in 1957 and some others in 1964. At Christie’s, these bottles, which are in fact awesome wines, have achieved significant bids. As shown on the photos the capsule have stamped a wax from JNV ( Junta Nacional do Vinho).
